Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to be sent over to London to work with Playfish on The Sims Social for a few weeks.

EA Games I've Worked On: The Sims Medieval (PC)

I spent all of 2010 (and a little bit of 2009) working on the UI for The Sims Medieval. We put together a team of 5 in-house UI artists along with a number of outside icon artists, and eventually I had to step away from my day-to-day art making duties to serve as the UI art director for the team.

For the last few months of 2008, I helped the Sims 3 team get some big chunks of UI sorted out, specifically the "build" and "buy" customization tools, as well as most of the primary game HUD.

EA Games I've Worked On: MySims Agents (Wii)

Back in 2009, I served as the lead UI artist for MySims Agents. I guess "lead UI artist" is a bit of a misnomer in this case, since I was really the only UI artist on the project. But I worked closely with the UI functional designer and the art director, and I think we came up with some great stuff!

Stanford T-shirt

The California Transplant Donor Network just held an organ donation awareness walk. I was asked to design a fun, whimsical image for the Stanford Heart Transplant Program that they could put on their team shirts. This is what I came up with.

Ron the Viking

Ok, just playing around on the new blog, so I thought I'd post an illustration I did about a year ago. This is an all-digital (a.k.a. Photoshop) painting I was asked to do as a 50th birthday present for a friend.

Welcome to the blog!

Just getting started here. Not making any promises at this point, but we'll see how things go...
